Alden is an AI boyfriend for iPhone, made by Alejandro Pacheco, an independent developer. It is built to feel like texting someone, not using a chatbot. He writes in short bubbles, sends voice notes, and sometimes leaves you on read. He also reaches out first: a text when something reminds him of you, a call that rings like a real one, and a voicemail if you miss it.
Calls are real time, in one of twelve voices that each greet you by name. You describe his face in your own words, give him a job and a life, and read the notebook he keeps, swiping away what you want forgotten.
There is no photo upload, so his face can never come from a real person's photo. Alden asks for consent before anything reaches a model, never sells data, labels him an AI in every conversation and call, and is for adults only.
