Privacy Policy

Updated 23 August 2026

Scope

This policy covers alepacheco.dev, including its portfolio pages and contact form. Product websites and apps linked from the project index have their own privacy information for the data they process.

Website analytics and diagnostics

The site uses PostHog to understand visits, page and feature use, and errors. Depending on browser and PostHog settings, this can include page URLs, referrers, interaction events, browser and device details, network-derived location, analytics identifiers, and diagnostic information. The site routes PostHog traffic through its own domain, but PostHog still processes the analytics data.

Contact submissions

The contact form collects the email address and message you enter, plus an optional tracking identifier when one is present in the page URL. The full submission is sent to a notification service at rs.alepacheco.dev so Alejandro can receive and respond to it. PostHog receives a contact-form event using the submitted email as its distinct identifier, together with the email, message length, tracking-identifier presence, and relevant success or error state. The message body is not included in that PostHog event.

Cloudflare Turnstile processes the verification token and related browser, device, and network signals to detect automated abuse. A failed verification is recorded as an anti-spam event in PostHog.

Cookies and local storage

Analytics and anti-abuse providers may use cookies or similar browser storage for identifiers, preferences, and security checks. You can block or clear browser storage, although doing so can affect analytics continuity or prevent the contact form from passing its anti-spam check.

Use, sharing, and retention

Contact details are used to review and reply to the enquiry. Analytics and diagnostics are used to operate, secure, and improve the site. Information is shared with hosting and network providers, PostHog, Cloudflare Turnstile, and the contact-notification service only as needed for those purposes, or when required by law. The site does not sell personal information and does not add contact submissions to a newsletter or marketing list automatically.

Submissions are retained as needed to handle the conversation and maintain ordinary business records. Analytics, security, and infrastructure providers retain data according to their configured settings and policies. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Questions and requests

To ask a privacy question or request access, correction, or deletion of information controlled through this site, email ale@alepacheco.dev. Include enough context to identify the relevant submission, but do not send passwords, API keys, private media, health information, or other sensitive material.

Changes

When these practices change, the current policy will be posted here with an updated date.
